Role overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Media Intern to join our team. You will be an enthusiastic, creative, and dedicated individual with lots of initiative and drive.

  • Location: Hybrid – The Mill – Heathrow / Remote
  • Normal hours of work: flexible
  • Reporting to: Sales Director
  • Salary: £18,000 – £21,000 per annum

Key responsibilities

  • Manages company social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and other relevant platforms
  • Engages in social media presence creation on new and emerging social media platforms
  • Creates dynamic written, graphic, and video content
  • Optimizes content following search engine optimization (SEO) and pay-per-click (PPC)
  • Creates content that promotes audience interaction, increases audience presence on company sites, and encourages audience participation
  • Assists business development with large projects, events, and community management
  • Analyses and reports audience information and demographics, and success of existing social media projects
  • Proposes new ideas and concepts for social media content
  • Works with marketing and business development team members to coordinate ad campaigns with social media strategy
  • Manages social media communications
  • Uses timelines and scheduled content to create a consistent stream of new content for audience interaction while analysing, managing, and altering schedules where necessary to optimize visits

Knowledge, qualifications, and experience

  • A recent graduate in media and communications or media studies
  • Or Completion of an Apprenticeship in digital marketing
  • Evidence of work/projects in media communications, copywriting and visual design
